This is a tool that create 3D model from a pixel art.

Basically, you can make a solid by importing a pixel art and adding thickness. It also supports specification of thickness in pixel art images and animation of 3D models.

This is a little old project, so the Mac version 0.6.1 (2013) has not been confirmed to work on recent Mac OS including M1. Windows ver.0.6.2 has been modified to work on Windows 10 in 2020. And only ver.0.4.1 has an OBJ(.obj) file export function.

This tool made by Processing2 and Java. So Java is required.

Any chance of getting a batch feature to convert an entire folder of images and export them all at once?

Unfortunately, I have no plans for now.

In the latest version, the export function itself is gone. I remember that it was because the library I was using at the beginning couldn't be used after Processing2.

Rather than waiting, it would be more realistic to do it yourself using standard OS automation tools.

For now, I just remember that you have a request.

Too bad about the Mac version - would love to be able to turn my artist's moniker into a 3D model easily!

If Apple gives us all the development environment for free, we may be able to handle it.. :)
